what a difficult choice!
the tempting hand of pain and
the wearisome hand of pleasure.
to draw a thinner line would be difficult.
perfection marred by man’s perversion, or
temporal respite for this brilliant youth?
it’s not just the truth of pain
nor the sin of pleasure; rather,
it is my life.

TIM!!
SO GOOD...so incredibly good. I love the contrast between the two worlds behind each hand that can be taken.
This is DEFINITELY one of my favorites! :)
first of all...
allow me to comment on the picture on your page, it is very very good! It is captivating, and enticing, and irresistible, etc. etc.
i really really liked your post, and i am VERY PROUD of you because YOU HAVE ACTUALLY KEPT UP WITH YOUR POSTS!
~way to go!~
but anyways, your poem was, as i said previously, very good. I am not sure i could understand everything because the contours of my mind are deluded by percocet, but... i still enjoyed it immensely. The ending was very crafty and unexpected, and it brought me IMMENSE pleasure.
hope you are having a great day
;-)
really good tim...
I'm glad you enjoyed my blog. It's nice to know that my outflow of consciousness can speak to someone. I'm also glad to know that I'm not alone with all of that random stuff.
and life is good. don't forget it. : )
I realized that I had neglected to comment on this poem, too! Ugh. I think it was because I read it while I was with you...but...I suppose that's a flimsy excuse...at best!
I love this poem, quite simply. So many good contrasts and so many things that made me think!
Inspiring.
